Gatekeepers Offering
The Gatekeepers offering goes to fund Men's Ministry events in our district, like this conference. As a thank you, there is a Friday morning breakfast with Bro. Paul Pamer for those who support SCTX Men's Ministry with this offering.
During Purpose 2025 we will have the opportunity to live out our calling to be the body of Jesus Christ. On Friday afternoon (1:30–4:30pm), we will take time together to serve in the area community. This is not a pause in the conference, but an extension of it: an opportunity to be Christ’s hands and feet in action.
As members of His body, each of us has a part to play. When we serve together, we reflect God’s love, demonstrate His compassion, and show our world what it means to live with true purpose.
You will have the opportunity to choose one of two optional service projects. Each is designed to make a real impact and give us the chance to practice servant leadership in the name of Jesus.
San Antonio Food Bank
The San Antonio Food Bank serves one of the largest and most diverse service areas in Southwest Texas. Their mission extends beyond providing food for today to empowering our neighbors with the resources, education, and support they need to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.During our time with the Food Bank, we may be asked to sort and pack food items, organize supplies, or assist with projects that help prepare resources for distribution. Whatever the specific task, our efforts will directly support families in need.
Reach Out America
Reach Out America is a disaster-relief organization recognized by the UPCI which equips communities and churches to respond when disaster strikes. One of the ways they prepare is by assembling 5-gallon disaster relief buckets filled with essential supplies. These buckets are stored and ready to be deployed immediately in the aftermath of hurricanes, floods, and other crises. As volunteers, we will spend our time packing these relief buckets. These simple containers can become lifelines for families in moments of great need.
In addition to helping to prepare the disaster relief buckets for Reach Out America, we have the opportunity to donate the contents of the buckets. Below is a list of the materials we will need to fill the buckets. If you are able, please consider making a donation towards the purchase of supplies, or purchase and bring one or more of the following items. Thank you for your donation!
SCTX Men's Ministry has created an Amazon registry that you can use to donate supplies for Reach Out America. These will be shipped to the conference for you.Amazon Registry Link
If you prefer, you can purchase and bring supplies with you to the conference. Please remember to pack them along.
